Dental care is an important and often a significant investment, and we never want the financial side of treatment to feel confusing, rushed, or uncomfortable. Here at Prickly Pear Dental Care, our goal is to always emphasize both accessibility and transparency.
Although we're certainly happy to accept up-front payment by cash, check, or credit card, we also understand that paying in full at the time of treatment is not realistic for every patient. That being said, in-house financing is not something offered by our practice. This allows us to keep our time and attention focused on what we do best: providing high-quality dental care, rather than managing payment plans or following up on billing issues!
For patients who prefer to spread treatment costs over time, we currently work with CareCredit and Sunbit, two independent, third-party financing providers. Financing is always completely optional, but it can be a helpful option for patients who want to move forward with recommended treatment while choosing a payment structure that better fits their budget.
Our knowledgeable and friendly staff is happy to answer general questions, review your treatment plan and cost, and help guide you to the appropriate financing resources. Please keep in mind, however, that approval decisions, available terms, interest rates, fees, and repayment requirements are determined exclusively by the financing provider, not by anyone in our office.
Third-party Financing
Financing Options
-

CareCredit
CareCredit may be a good fit for patients who prefer a healthcare credit card-style option for dental expenses. If approved, patients may be able to use CareCredit for eligible treatment costs at our office and at other participating healthcare providers. Through our CareCredit page, you can learn more, see whether you prequalify, and review available financing options directly with CareCredit.
-

Sunbit
Sunbit may be a good fit for patients who prefer a more traditional installment-style payment option for a specific treatment plan. If approved, Sunbit allows patients to split eligible dental costs into scheduled monthly payments over a defined term. Through our Sunbit page, you can learn more, check your options, and review available payment terms directly with Sunbit.
An Important Note About Financing
We’re proud to work with these third-party financing providers because we know that their services can help to make dental treatment more accessible for many patients. Still, we want to remind you that taking on a payment plan is an important, personal decision.
We encourage all our patients to take as much time as they need to fully review the details of any financing offer before accepting it. This includes understanding monthly payments, interest rates, promotional terms, and any fees that may apply. A payment option should feel helpful, not stressful, and it should never result in undue financial difficulty or stress.
Our team can walk you through your treatment plan and cost, as well as explain your general payment and third-party financing options, but any financing agreement that you take on is ultimately between you and the financing provider. We will never pressure you into financing, and we are always happy to discuss treatment timing, priorities, and alternatives when appropriate.
