Help Support Prickly Pear Community Care
Prickly Pear Dental Care is beyond excited to host Prickly Pear Community Care, a free dental-care event for our Borderland community.
On Saturday, August 8, from 8 AM to 1 PM, Dr. Alejandra Flores, our team, and volunteer dental professionals will welcome patients into our office for a half-day of community-centered care. This event is intended especially for individuals and families who may have difficulty accessing oral-health services.
To help make the day possible, we are inviting dental vendors, restaurants, other local businesses, community organizations, and neighbors to support the event in whatever way makes sense for them.

While the finer details of the event are still being organized, services offered are likely to include oral-health screenings, cleanings, simple fillings, simple extractions, and oral-health education. Treatment will depend on each patient’s needs, clinical appropriateness, available time, and what can safely be completed during the event.
What Kind of Sponsors Are We Looking For?
We are not asking for large or complicated commitments. We are simply looking for community partners who would like to help us make this day welcoming, organized, and impactful for patients and volunteers.
Support may include:
Oral-health supplies
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, children’s oral-health items, or other supplies that can be included in patient goody bags.
Event t-shirt sponsorship
Support for volunteer/event shirts, with sponsor recognition if appropriate.
Meals, snacks, coffee, or drinks
Food and refreshments for the dentists, team members, and volunteers donating their time.
Marketing and outreach support
Help spreading the word through social media, printed materials, community boards, newsletters, local organizations, or word of mouth.
Financial contributions toward dental supplies
Contributions to help purchase necessary supplies for the event, such as dental materials, disposable items, patient-care supplies, and oral-health giveaway items.
What Can Sponsors Receive in Return?
Sponsors may be recognized on event materials and/or on Prickly Pear Dental Care’s social media pages, as appropriate.
Our goal is to keep the focus of the event on serving the community, but we also want to meaningfully thank the people and organizations who help make it possible.
Depending on the type of support provided, recognition may include:
Social media thank-you posts
Sponsor mentions on event-related materials
Recognition on printed or digital event information
Public appreciation before or after the event

Who Will the Event Serve?
Prickly Pear Community Care is intended especially for individuals and families in the Borderland who may have difficulty accessing oral-health services. Patients of all ages are welcome to attend.
The event will be open to the community, and care will be provided on a limited, same-day basis. Additional details for patients will be shared closer to the event.
Who Is Leading the Event?
The event is founded and led by Dr. Alejandra Flores, owner and lead clinician at Prickly Pear Dental Care.
Dr. Flores and the Prickly Pear Dental Care team will be joined by volunteer dental professionals and other community-minded volunteers who want to help provide care to people in need.
